She became popular after she acted in a web series ‘The Darling Buds of May.’ She was inspired to be an actress from her childhood days. She even played several roles as a youth Catherine Zeta-Jones and one such role is in the West Productions’ musicals, ‘Annie and Bugsy Malone.’

Catherine was born on 25th September 1969. Her birthplace is Swansea, Wales, United Kingdom. Her parents are David James Jones and Patricia Fair. She is 52 years old, as of now. 

David James was a Welsh Philosopher and Catherine has two siblings, Lyndon and David. Lyndon is also popular in the acting industry, as he works in film productions now. He even worked as a sales representative before entering the film industry. Coming to the nationality of Catherine, it is Welsh.

She went to the Hazel Johnson School where she completed her high school. Then, she discontinued her studies to join the Dumbarton House School. She then completed her schooling in this private school located in Swansea.

As already said, she had a great interest in acting, she joined the Arts Educational Schools to pursue her acting career. The acting school is located in London. In 1987, she made her debut appearance on stages with a good role. But coming to her college, there is no information regarding that.

Personal Life:

Catherine’s relationship has been in a big controversy. She had a relationship with many celebrities. In the 1990s, she dated many British actors such as David Essex, Mick Hucknall, and John Leslie. Then, she got engaged with a Scottish actress, Angus Macfadyen. But unfortunately, this relationship didn’t last long.

The Welsh actress met Michael Douglas in 1998. It was the Deauville Film Festival where the couple met at first. The couple started dating and after one year, they got engaged in 1999. Then, the engagement led to a marriage ceremony on 18th November 2000. It grandly took place at New York Plaza Hotel.

Then the couple welcomed two children into their life. They are Carys Zeta Douglas and Dylan Michael Douglas. In 2009, Catherine and her family moved to New York from Bermuda.

Later on, Catherine came to know that Douglas got tongue cancer after the doctor’s diagnosis. This shattered her life and she suffered from stress and depression. Because of the health problems, the couple decided to live separately in 2013. But again due to some reasons, the couple decided to live together in 2014.
